  1. It is a disturbing video to watch but I think I'll forward the URL to our local high school principal for consideration, as there are so many American teen drivers who are texting while driving. As a cautionary tale it may make an impression on 16-year olds in a public health-kind of way. Thanks for posting it.

  3. This is a crazy commercial, this would never be shown in the US. However, it does show very well the extreme consequences that can take place if we lose focus while driving. Just shows how fragile life can be and that we should always be careful and protect ourselves.

  4. texting or using a mobile phone while driving is Unbelievably dangerous. It should carry much harsher punishments.

  5. Physician Disability Insurance: I agree, this would never be shown in the US ... and I think that's part of the problem. I saw many, many adverts while working in the UK that really made me stop and think - moreso for me because I was unused to them - and none of them would make it here. Why does the US - as a policy - think that shielding young people from the realities of life and death make them less susceptible to the consequences?

  6. This ad definitely needs to be shown on the TV here in the U.S. - see the second video as an example why.

  7. WTHeck is with the warning below the video...

"Warning: This video may not be suitable for minors."

Aren't minors the ones this was made for?

  8. RB,

The warning is from the BBC site and I agree that one is needed after I watched the video.

  9. teens can definately handle seeing this. they see murders in the news everyday. they see graphic stuff in the movies and on video games. the kids now a days are not like when we were kids. sometimes they need something that will shake them into being safe. it may be hard to watch but it may make them put down their phones the next time they get in the car.
