CNN Video: Going to the Dentist in Mexico

A patient without a dental insurance uploaded a video of herself driving across the border to Mexico for dental treatment. The cost of 2 wisdom teeth extractions and 2 fillings: $ 160.

CNN.com made all their videos embeddable just like YouTube. This feature is useful for both bloggers and CNN since it drives traffic back to the site.

  1. I live and work in Nuevo Progreso Tamps. Mexico, in the dental business. Here we have what I would like to say the Largest concentration of dentists in the world. Just across the border of Weslaco. Texas. Walk across it is a short walk from the 2 large parking lots on both sides of the bridge. As you cross you will be overwhelmed with all the Dental promoters wanting you to go in their office. It is best to go with a dentist who is recommended or use the services of ProgresoDentalReferral.com Who can refer you to a dentist to fit your needs and your budget. Also he can help if a problems may arise. Don't suffer plan a trip. save a lot of time and money. Here you can afford the best.

  2. Personally,I am very afraid of going to the dentist. The noise and the smell there..make me neglect this part of my health care.

  3. I think that you associate the noise and the smell to a bad experience. There are some things that a dentist can do to avoid this common problem. The drills used run on compressed air and do make some noise. But if the doctor has an electric hand piece, these tend to make less noise. The smell is normally from a lack of water while drilling. This is to keep the tooth cooled while drilling. Voice your concerns to the dentist. The smell should not happen if the dentist uses enough water. Lastly we need you to have a good experience,so you erase the bad experience you may have had. A great doctor and staff who is frendly and in a caring warm environment of a good clinic where you feel comforted, This is the key to get you over the fear of the dentist. Re-write the program. In computer terms.
