I can't speak for the rest of my generation (I'm 24), but having grown up in The Era Of Search, a lot of this is old information to me. Particularly, the FRIAR procedure on slide 3 is just intuitive to me - I don't even think about it anymore.
I totally agree that this information is important for everyone to understand, and I wholeheartedly support its distribution. I just sort of dread those days that my institution makes lectures like this mandatory.
